Can you help us transform lives by giving a home and new hope to people impacted by homelessness on the Sunshine Coast?

People need a safe roof over their heads and some support to get back on their feet. Recovery is hard without even a roof to begin with.

A young man and young woman work together to move boxes of belongings out of a vehicle.

Our Vision:

  • To provide transitional housing for vulnerable homeless people in a supported community environment.

  • To provide support through a program of personal recovery that leads to purpose and hope.

Our Difference:

We will use a flat pack housing system which is economical compared with conventional build methods, and is quick to construct. It provides a modest but comfortable home.

There are options for one to three bedrooms plus living area. The houses can be deconstructed and relocated if required.

The focus for our first community is women over the age of 55 years – a growing section of our society, who are often vulnerable and without significant financial resources.

You can be part of the solution.

Can you help with any of the following? If so, please contact us!

Some of the needs include:

  • Land for the transitional housing and a community hub

  • Funds to buy and fit out more modular units

  • Support from businesses with in-kind gifts

  • Changes in government regulations and policies pertaining to interim housing and zoning requirements

  • Community support to lobby elected representatives regarding this

Community Comedy Night In Support of Roofs to Recovery

All of us need a good belly laugh from time to time!

So join us for an evening of comedy at the Power Boat Club on Saturday, 20 July. Doors open at 6.30 pm and the show starts at 7.00 pm.

The cost per ticket is $35.

The program features comedians from the Sydney and Melbourne International Comedy Festival. There are lucky door prizes, and we'd love you to come prepared for a silent auction.

Why not make a night of it? The Power Boat Club offers dinner from 5.00 pm (not included in the ticket price).

Funds raised on the evening will be allocated to the capital account of Roofs to Recovery towards establishing a community of transitional housing for women over 55 on the Sunshine Coast.
